Dr. David Filsoof
Dr. David Filsoof , has been practicing medicine since 2007. He was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Los Angeles when he was 7 year old. He completed his secondary education at Beverly Hills High School and was a merit AP Scholar. He was accepted to Emory University for his undergraduate studies and was awarded the Hope Scholarship. He studied Neuroscience and Piano performance. He then moved to New York to study music at Juilliard School of Music under his mentor David Dubal. Dr. Filsoof then went to medical school on full scholarship at New York Medical College and completed his internship at Harbor – UCLA hospital. He then proceeded to the Texas Medical Center in Houston to complete a competitive dual residency in Internal medicine and Pediatrics. During his time in Houston, he served as resident physician for the Houston Rockets Basketball team and performed the player’s cardiovascular screenings and heart ultrasounds. He was heavily engaged in research and wrote his first textbook “Cardiology Clinical Questions” that is published under McGraw Hill. He went on to complete a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the Mayo Clinic. He was consecutively the fellow of the year and chief fellow in his final year. He was awarded a distinctive Mayo Clinic International scholarship to work and study abroad in Kenya, Africa. Dr. Filsoof returned to Los Angeles to complete an advanced fellowship in Cardiac Imaging at the Cedars Sinai Heart Institute and joined staff at Cedars Sinai Hospital in 2016.
Dr. Filsoof Beverly Hills Cardiologist has numerous peer reviewed publications, editorials, and book chapters in respected journals. He is board certified in cardiovascular diseases, internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and pediatrics. Dr. Filsoof treats a wide array of conditions and diseases and specializes in general cardiology, preventative cardiology, non-invasive cardiac stress testing, cardiac catheterization, nutritional assessments, pre-operative clearance, and hospital consultation. His office is well equipped with its own blood laboratory, nuclear camera, treadmill, echocardiogram and CT scanner. Dr. Filsoof and his staff are all BLS/ACLS trained to triage and response to emergencies. Dr. Filsoof is also available after office hours and weekends as needed.
In his spare time Dr. Filsoof is an avid classical pianist and enjoys hiking, yoga, and art collecting. He is married to a child psychologist. Dr. Filsoof and his staff are available to answer your questions and best serve your medical needs.
